The publisher of my two novels, "Sarah's Daughter" and "Rose," has closed down and the remaining books in print have come home to me, along with the rights. It was a challenge to create these characters -- a wonderful challenge -- and now the task is to sell the books.

Retail, the pair would be $31 plus sales tax. But here, there's a deal. Send a check or money order (they still have money orders, right?) to me at P. O. Box 204, Richmond, MA 01254-0204, and I will do the following:

One book (inscribed as you wish), $14 plus $1.50 shipping.
Two books (any two, inscribed) $25, plus $3 shipping.
Four or more books, any combination, inscribed, $50, free shipping.

If this were TV, you'd also get reading glasses and bookmarks, but it's just a personal website. No guarantees, either, but people from 13 to 95 have enjoyed the girl named Rose, so we're pretty certain you will, too.
